Gibson and Nylander sent to farm (can call up Gibson and send him down as he plays).
Hoffman called up to pro roster. Bailey and Mitchell (H+B and FOW) picked up off FA.
Thoughts?
I still believe I'm in the playoff hunt - currently my team has accumulated 33 more assists, 31 more points and 68 more PPP, than any other team - so I felt I could afford to give some of that up.
I need to catch up in H+B's, FOWs (picked up Mitchell for those) and goaltending stats (enter Gibson).
Anyways, I posted the offer earlier this afternoon and thought I owed the final result to those who responded!

Damn! Love this for you. Picks in your favor... Got younger. A lot hinges on prospect development... But I love those prospects and Kane is a stud immediately when he returns negating the loss of Kessel. And Markov? Yeah...give me rielly any day.

i can see why you did this. But i also see why the other guy did. I think the other guy wins this year by a wide margin. You win long term. Probably a good deal for both teams. I assume the other guy has a decent team if he has so much great youth to trade away and is trading for vets??? Also with it only a 12 team league i think goalies may not be too scarce so maybe you overpaid a bit for Gibson.
The more i think about this one im not so sure i would have done this, especially since you are in a playoff spot. If i was rebuilding id do this deal in a heartbeat though.

Well I was way ahead of the rest of the league in most offensive cats (except H+B's and FOW's - going to pick up a couple players that will help me there now that I have a couple empty spots) before I made this deal... and I was middle of the pack goaltending-wise. Hopefully Gibson gets more starts down the stretch.

Andersen has been activated from the IR and that will probably limit Gibsons starts. Can you target another goalie?
