Interesting to see a 2nd dealt without Timonen showing anything this season.

Nice addition IF Timonen can show the same stuff he did in the past...

Don't understand how he is worth a 2nd and 4th when Franson AND Santorelli fetched the same + a decent prospect...

I understand his cap is only at 2 mil but still... very odd.

Nashville's GM is looking better and better after some of the trades have gone down.

Some of it probably has to do with being a little late to the party so to speak.

Myers, Bogo, Franson and Sekera all going off the market early is likely driving up the price for similar assets that remain. An illustration of why it's really smart for the GMs that are buying to get a jump on it.

I'd be very surprised if they don't make another trade or two - I can see them going after a young winger to help shore up their forward depth.

Happy most for Timmo here. Scarey shit he had to deal with. Now a chance to return and maybe go out on top.

But they still need to address Kaner.

He will help the PP, which could use the help... especially with PK out, now. It wasn't that great even with him.

I agree but the Kane situation is completely irrelevant when evaluating this trade. Hawks became a better team today.

This is the 2nd trade this week that came out of nowhere. Who seen this coming? Timmo hasn't played a game going into March. The Flyers could actually use him for their battle for a playoff spot, while Chicago could have used that pick to help replace Kane.
