Default Which FA D should I grab now?

I'm all out of Roster moves but have lined up someone else's waiver pick that I can acquire for a 6th round pick (getting a 10th rounder and the player back).

I've fallen to approx. 500 points behind the leader, currently in 2nd place.

I'm over on nearly all my games (but managible) but my D games are a little low (and with Rielly, Gardiner and Ehrhoff rounding out my 2 of my 5 D, it's risky.

Here are the FA's I'm interested in Adding.

    D - Delzotto
    D - Klein
    D - K. Russell
    D - D. Savard
    D - Beauchemin
    D - Larsson

I don't see any of these guys as huge difference makers but may help me feel better about dressing them over a Gardiner/Ehrhoff/Rielly.

    Thanks guys.

It's between MDZ and Savard from where I sit. Neither one is without risk; however, I'd go with Savard, as he's better in PIM (0.75 per game vs. 0.5 for MDZ), plus Wisniewski might well get dealt between now and Monday, freeing up more ice time for Savard, particularly on the PP. On the flip side, Timonen might be back in the fold soon for Philly (if they don't deal him), in which case MDZ's ice time, including on the PP, might erode.

    Great Point regarding Timonen

What if I added Timonen and Gelinas to the table for a free pickup?

    Klein or Savard for me.

Both have been a big surprise and both are locked in with their current teams and not going anywhere. MDZ could very well be on the move and I am just starting to have some faith in him again. If he moves, who knows what happens to him.

I'd still lean toward Savard. Last season Timonen looked a step slower, and he'll be stepping in now as rusty as a player can be, especially given his age. And no to Gelinas - not an upgrade over Savard IMO.

Del Zotto and Savard both have a ton of offensive momentum right now, they would be my rental choices, especially Del Zotto.

I think CBJ feel invested in Savard and he would make the best choice, maybe a bit lower potential than MDZ but more projectable IMO. Second choice is MDZ, it's close between them though.

I'd go with Savard especially if wisniewski gets dealt. Then I'd go with klien. Everyone keeps expecting him to slow down but he just wont.
regardless I think the spread will be very small between them for the rest of the season.

Savardi is now at the top of my list. Thanks guys. Going to wait and see what the deadline does, but if nothing else materializes or if a Wiz DOES GET MOVED... SAVARD IT IS.

I think the Timonen trade to the Hawks brings MDZ back into the conversation big time? So close, I don't think you can go too far wrong with either one, but Wiz is still in the way, Timonen is not. MDZ for me.

    +1 for MDZ.
With the pieces Philly is moving on D is making room for MDZ to stay.
