    Angry Give up on Boyle?

    [Rant]
I've been holding onto boyle thinking magic will happen in new york but clearly not the case. He was gaining steam earlier this month but then he broke his nose and has only scored 1 point since (a goal last night). I want to keep him because he has so much potential to be a stud but damn is it ever pissing me off that he only has 10 points this season. Our waiver wire has dog shit to offer except for MDZ whos been heating up lately. Don't know if I should risk dropping him with the most likely scenario that he gets picked up by someone else; or sit on him and hope he produces some value.
    [/Rant]

Oh yeah. 1 year points only. (G/A weighted equally;no extra for power play points)

I gave up on Boyle 2 seasons ago. I'd take MDZ

Yeah at this point even MDZ is a more attractive option than Boyle. Boyle's point producing years are long behind him.

I dunno risky choice... I guess how dependent is your team on the production of Boyle? To me if MDZ is really he only ww option, then I'd rather keep Boyle in the hopes of a turn around rather than to potential lose him to my opponent's hand. But if you're really behind at the moment and need the production to catch up then I'd grab MDZ.

In my 10-team shallow D league Boyle's been on the WW for most of the season.

Dan Boyle has 3 even-strength points in 31 games this year.
    THREE.
(Same number of licks to get to the center of a tootsie-pop).

    Thuh-ree.

    Kick him to the curb.

    MDZ... for sure.

Your expectations were way too high. Not sure how you can come to this conclusion when last year he was with the Sharks, a team with lots of talent up front.

Yeah my expectations were way too high. I definetly got caught up in the name value vs real value (and hoping he could get to the pace he had going just 3 seasons ago). Dropped him for MDZ.

Great video evidence haha. Did not know that stat, ouch. I should start looking more into the ESP vs PPP.

    Thanks for the input everyone!

Live and learn. Boyle still has something in the tank but it's not the constant 50+ that we used to get or anything close to that.
