OEL side without a doubt he will score 50 points or more every season if he is on a semi decent offensive team.
Schenn in my opinion is a chance you can afford to take with acquiring OEL for only Forsberg
What's up folks, I'm new to this place.
20 team ESPN dynasty league - keep 20 (roster size 25) - H2H points scoring system
G = 3pts
A = 2
+/- = 0.5
PIM = 0.2
HIT = 0.2
SOG = 0.2
BLOCKS = 0.2
PPG = 1
PPA = 0.5
SHP = 2
Few other cats that aren't significant
You start 2 F - 2 C - 2 LW - 2 RW - 4 D - 2 UTIL - 1 G
I was offered OEL and Brayden Schenn for my Forsberg. To give you an idea of scoring, OEL is averaging 2.8pts/game, Schenn 2.6/game, and Forsberg is 3.7/game.
I am a massive Forsberg fan, but I want to tell myself to do the deal. I need help on defense (my 2 highest scoring dmen are Suter and Spurgeon...ugh) and I have a few open roster spots (my IR is full) that allows me to add/drop free agents as much as I please, so Schenn would help my depth and give me another worthwhile keeper. Even when players come back from IR I wouldn't have to drop anyone special. I also wouldn't be creating any positional holes by trading away Forsberg.
I'm currently a team that will most likely make the playoffs, but chances are I'm not going to make a legitimate push for the title. I certainly like OEL quite a bit, it's Schenn that I'm unsure of. I would like to see some more consistency from him even though the Flyers are having a sub-par year. I think do think that Schenn still has some room to grow and can be a 3.0 player, as well as OEL. (there are less than 15 dmen who avg 3.0 or more in the league). On the other hand, Forsberg is scoring a 3.7/game in his rookie year which gives reason to believe that he could be a 4.0 player in years to come. There are under 15 players scoring 4.0 in the league as well, so they are highly coveted.
I've been talking myself in and out of the deal for a little while now lol.
Any input is appreciated, thanks!

So yeah, OEL and B. Schenn for my Forsberg.
My team definitely needs to be retooled a decent bit (need to move some centers).

Looking at your team you really need help on the blue line... I would take the trade on that premise alone... Forwards are easier to replace with ww pick ups, but you've got 4 D that probably are ww material, so I would take the deal.
This is also Forsberg's first "real season"... so he could regress from here on out. It could be a great "sell high".

I may be in the minority here. I think you may need help up front after making this deal. You start 8f and would probably be losing 2 starters up front to plug 1 d hole. If it was a 1 for 1 forsberg for oel I might (not sure if i would)take that but I think schenn would be too much.
Also assuming since this is in the cap section how are your caps valued? If its salary no way I make this deal. Cap hit would be closer but I'd still probably keep forsberg over oel. I'd disagree with the above and think it could be easier to find a cheap ww type
I'd hold on Forsberg. I think you may be able to get more.
