    Default Ty Rattie

Anyone thinks he could stick with the Blues ?

He's been tearing up the A lately, and for what I've seen since his junior time, he's a legitimate blue chip prospect.

There's no denying he's a bonafide blue chip prospect. The issue is opportunity and there are few with St Louis right now.

He'll get there at some point, but right now the Blues are just as happy to have him tearing up the AHL gaining confidence.

Just hope Berglund will be out for a while. He just doesn't bring it this year. And next imo.

    Blues are just too deep...

Schwartz/Backes/Oshie/Tarasenko/Lehtera/Steen/Stastny/Berglund... just too hard to crack the top 8-9 and get any decent amount of ice-time to produce at a quality fantasy-relevant level...

Given that they also have Jaskin/Barbashev/Fabbri also in the mix, they have an embarrassment of riches in the prospect front too...

As Axe said, might as well give him plenty of time in the A and let his confidence skyrocket...

Rattie is still another year from getting any real time with the Blues, and even then I don't know how many minutes he will get. Reminds me of any number of guys, Brett Connolly, Jon Bernier, Kevin Hayes, who are good enough for the NHL, but aren't given the opportunity until a trade (a la Bernier from Kings to Leafs) helps them out.

This. Though I think they will make some type of move maybe moving Steen + for an upgrade somewhere. In addition, it is possible jaskin and fabbri could be ahead of rattie as well

    why do you say that?

To me a blue chip prospect is one who can't miss. Rattie is a blue chip prospect for the St Louis Blues in my eyes.

Is Matt Puempel blue chip? Pretty much equal ahl production. Good prospects but would not call them blue chip or can't miss at all.

Rattie is just raising his stock and I see the Blues using him as trade bait to land something they need for a run at the cup, be it this year or down the line. I really don't see him ever playing big time for the Blues purely because of their current depth.

Too much hype on Rattie IMO, but teams do need goal scorers and he can score. I just don't see him doing much for a while if he does.

Hitch is the key, if he stays the coach Rattie won't do much for a loooong time.

Side note: he could be used as trade bait to improve the roster now

In Ottawas eyes. I'd say he isn't blue chip. He's in his third NHL season and has been passed over for recall by the Sens.

Ty Rattie is in his second AHL season and is already seeing NHL action.

No, I don't see them in a similar light at all No matter what their AHL production has been.
