[Trade] Clendening for Forsling
As per NHL app, Canucks acquire Adam Clendening from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Gustav Forsling.
Not sure how I feel about this...
In any case, I do think this diminishes the chances that Kassian will go to the Bruins for Bartkowski now.

What a smart move by Vancouver and Chicago both
one gets a NHL ready puck moving defensmen, which they need
while another clears room for other young defense Rundblad, TVR, and Pokka that they must prefer
Clendening will see his value increase in 1 year pools because of this, IMO he has been pro ready all season but Chicago's depth has held him back.

Absolutely. This is a solid trade for both teams but I give the edge to van based on the fact that clendening has looked good further along in his career than forsling. Really excited to see this guy play!

Good for both teams and exactly what Vancouver needs. Edler just isn't getting it done and the youngin's aren't stepping up. As a fan Im excited! I can see Van deploying him immediately for a few.

I am surprised that after dealing away Leddy earlier this year that the Hawks would move Clendening as well. I realize he is due a new contract after this year but no way he was going to command a big salary. The kid is NHL ready now and the Hawks need quality on the cheap and he fits that bill.

The Hawks must really like what they're seeing from Rundblad. Clendening is ready for the NHL, but his skillset is pretty similar to Rundblad's. between him, TVR, Dahlbeck, and Johns there just isn't much need for Clendening.
Still not sure I like it since he's just a better player than Forsling IMO. Oh well it's a minor swap.
