Is he worth a speculative Add based on his recent production?

Was just thinking the same thing. I'm going to look at his stats, TOI, etc right now. I will be back…

Meh. Only 2 minutes of total PP time the last 6 games, averaging 12 minutes ETOI. I don't know if I can do it in my 12 team league, but yours at 14 might be worth a grab.

I don't see who you would drop though, so unless you have room…I'd be hesitant either way.

I'm watching the Hawks/Kings game now, he might change my mind...

I think you are spot on he's worth a chance the way he's been producing. Remember Ottawa dealt the Blues the draft pick they took Tarasenko with for him.

Anyone questioning his offensive up side, needs to re-consider. He scored 50 points in the SEL as a 21 year old, which was good for about 4th in the league scoring race. Comparables... there aren't any. A forward with as many points, at a very young age like this, would bring great excitement to fantasy enthusiasts.

I like that he's in Chicago. They give youth opportunity. Moving Leddy earlier this year opened up some room.

All that said, (I see an assist tonight) I think it's good fortune, not necessarily good management on his part. His TOI this year is 11:57. Nothing has really changed of late regarding his TOI and he ?was a scratch? on the 18th of January. I wonder that he asks himself the right personal questions, or if he has encountered the right person to help him get his career on track. It's too bad, because skill/talent aren't likely to be the problem.

Adam Larsson was on that same SEL team and had 9 points while being touted as high as 1st overall at some points in that draft year. (yeah, I know he's disappointed too).

I'm not jumping on the Rundblad bus just yet, but I'm happy you made me think about him!

Not sure what those 2 bolded points have to do with Rundblad right now, but further to my 1st post I just don't see him helping with your final 4 scoring categories and looking at the team in your signature, that is where you need the help, moreso PIMS and hits.

He's playing mostly with Duncan Keith at evens. That could eventually boost his offensive numbers. I see him long term replacing Seabrook on the second PP, which would mean more production. I snagged him in our league.

This. The Hawks have some cuts to make. I think Rundblad benefits big time. I also think the Erixon acquisition was done in preparation for some dmen being shown the door.

Meh. They have a guy named Adam Clendening. He is the guy you want if we are looking beyond this season.

Clendening sure is putting his best foot forward down in the AHL to show that he's ready for a big push...

Between showing off in the AHL and putting up points in the big league there's a line. Clendening's defensive work is still a work in progress, according to coach Q.

The hawks did give up a decent draft pick to acquire him when everyone was ready to give up on him. It's a bit odd they don't make room on pp unit 2 for him but even if his minutes are sheltered, it speaks volumes to his all around game if he can stick in the hawks lineup.

Part of that was a contract issue. It's not clear that Rundblad beat Clendening out -- one was eligible for the AHL, the other wasn't. Clendening's earlier season call-up was a pretty good indication of where he's at in their plans.

Not saying Clendening's better either. It'd be nice to see him get a better shot, but they're just loaded. Next season will be a better indication.

I do think Rundblad is a nice speculative add in deep leagues. I cut him loose and am starting to second-guess things.
