Got one part of the finals prediction right - hope I get the wnd one wrong though, as my heart wishes India to win.

What a semi final that was! Both teams left it it all out there, and the better side on the day won.

Isn't AB Devillers a class act, in his speech he didn't mention the rain delay, duckworth Lewis or their missed opportunities, just said "the better team won on the day".

Wonder if we'll see such class out of the aussies (win or lose)... LOL.... classy aussies... wishful thinking.

There wasn't any trash talking between the two team the entire match. None that I heard or saw anyway. That is how the game should be played. It was a magical thing to watch. NZ winning certainly helped cement my good feelings toward the game. AB is a total class act, always has been. I would like India to win as I think NZ has a better chance against them and it would be good to beat every major team except for Pakistan. Thing is.... there is something about the idea of a AU v NZ final that is really exciting and a victory against the Aussies in the final would be a little bit sweeter than India.

That's one thing I hate about the Aussies since living here, the sledging... Isn't cricket supposed to be a "gentleman's game"... Warner, Johnson just a buncha wan.as...

It is going to be incredible. Cannot wait! I've been to the MCG. It is unbelievably massive. The sheer scale of it when you walk into the stadium is crazy.

Just saw this post. Funny, I was going to start one and figured I'd get laughed out of the forum

But my wife is West Indian and just as I've indoctrinated her family into hockey, they have pulled me into cricket a little. While in Florida we stayed at her cousin's and that meant watching the West Indies games (but thankfully, also the TB-MTL game). Still getting a feel for strategy, and player names

So the two host teams face off Sunday night

    Lucky you - I am jealous. :-)

Hope the game is as much fun. Many of these games end up being more hype than the actual game. If it's anything like the league game these 2 teams had, it should be a dandy. Hope the best team wins, but now that India is out, am gunning for a NZ win.

    Cheers

It finished as it started... Too bad the boys stopped playing positive, attacking cricket. Aussies were far too good last night. They deserved the win.

They played the same game they'd played all summer, Aussie bowlers were just too good for our boys and they deserved to win.

I'm still a proud New Zealander after their efforts.
