Some of my old roommates were heavy into it so I checked in on the last World Cup for a couple of matches. I've got to say, it's an entertaining game though I probably won't be invested this time around.

I've used LBW as slang for when you twist just enough to block a sure-fire nut-shot with your thigh... I don't know if that makes me a fan though.

I've been in a Cricket roto league for three years now and loving it! My team name is Jiminy Wickets.

Didn't even know such things existed, is it based on international ODIs? Tests? T20s?

Yeah, I was just messin' around, there is no Cricket pool for me! Heck, I don't even understand the rules although I have made some minor efforts to learn over the years, all to no avail.

Cricket is a great game. I got into it back in 1999 when I was living in England. I lived in a house with about 15 NZ/AUS folks. I wont ever forget the SA v AUS semi final. Amazing match.

I'm quite looking forward to it this year. New Zealand has a chance. Certainly not the favs, but with some luck and a home field advantage we could make some noise!

Who is the favourite this year? Is Sachin (spelling?) still playing for India?

NZ has NO CHANCE I repeat NO CHANCE... Australia is in great form at the moment, plus home advantage... but with these ODIs anything goes...South Africa/England also pretty good chance too...

    Ohh no you di'int!

NZ is better form than anyone, have you seen what McCullum and Williamson have been doing the summer?! Every single player has stood up and made runs or taken wickets in the lead up to this World Cup, they're doing very well...

Let's look at Australia.. I live in Melbourne so know more about Aus cricket than Nz cricket usually...
    Warner - questionable form
Finch - decent but hasn't made a lot of runs lately either, get starts but doesn't carry them on
    Watson - rubbish utter rubbish
    Clarke - is he healthy?
    Bailey - meh
Haddin - getting old but always a decent threat with the bat
Smith - playing extremely well, better than most in the world to be fair, except maybe Williamson
Bowlers are decent enough I guess but lack of spinners? Wtf?

Remember it's a shared World Cup so NZ has a lot of home games too, and its feasible Aus v Nz in the semi in NZ, Australia would be struggling to win that.

I'm calling a South Africa v Nz final
    Yes I'm bias

But any one can win on the day, only takes one good over.
You really think England are more of a chance than Nz?? Interesting...

There you go, you threw the line out and got a bite
