15 seems like a stretch, thats about 7 extra wins and we're 35 or so games in.
Hi,
W = 2pts
SO = 3pts
OT = 1pt
For the remainder of the season, how many points do you think they will get?
I currently have Schneider and I'm looking to trade for Bernier but I'd do it only if Bernier gets at least 15 more points than Schneider until the end of the season.
Thanks!

Yes I know, and only 3W currently separates them, but NJ are struggling really bad and TO should fight for a playoff spot.
Only in the last 30 days, Bernier has 17pts and Schneider only 4.
Do you still think the difference at the end of the season will not be that big?
Schneider sure starts a lot of games, but I can't see NJ play for ,500 until the end of the season so that's my main concern.
I just dropped schneider for bernier.
in my league a goalie loss is -.5 points, so schneider had got me 0 points in the last 30 days.
NJ is a mess... they just dont have the talent to put up wins. Yes schneider is the better goalie, but toronto at least has some D and forwards that can score.
if you cant trade him then make the switch, you will be happy.

The way I see it:
Toronto has played 36 games, which leaves 46 left to play.
I would suggest a 30-16 split in favour of Bernier for starts, with Benier winning about 20 of those.
New Jersey has played 37 games, which leaves 45 to play
I would suggest that this split would go more like 35-10 starts for Schneider with Schneider winning about 17 of those.
That gives Bernier a 6 point advantage, which is a far cry from the 15 you are hoping for.
I assume you picked the point spread due to trade or waiver limits to see if the move was worthwhile, as I do think Bernier will get more points, just don't see it being 15.

I think I'll stick with Schneider for now, Bernier's owner asks for too much (picks next year) and I have Thornton who just got hurt so I'll wait and see if it's for a long time. If so, I guess I won't be sacrificing next year to win this year.
Thanks a lot for your input!
I finally decided to trade to get Bernier instead of Schneider, as I thought Bernier could only be better then Schneider until the end of the season (not worst) and I really wanted to make a push to win this year... I made the trade on january 7... since then, the Leafs are getting worst each game, and the Devils are getting just a little bit better. I really should have kept Schneider ... Do you still think Bernier is a better own for this year then Schneider?
Was it Bernier for Schneider straight up?
