    Default Hutchinson

I get one rookie keeper at seasons end and I'm torn between Hutchinson and Gibson. If gibson doesn't play another game he'll be rookie eligible for 2 seasons as hell still be a rookie next year. My issue is that I feel Gibson has a higher upside than Hutchinson. But, this is based on my knowledge of Gibson and how Anaheim views him going forward and my lack of knowledge on Hutchinson.

So so I guess my question is, was Hutchinson projected to be a good prospect or is he playing wel above his head right now? Should I drop Gibson to open up a roster spot and give myself an even better shot at winning this year? Or is Gibson that much better of an option than Hutchinson that I should hold on to him?

ECHL in 2013-14 record of 22-4-2, 2.08Gaa, 0.921S%, promoted to AHL St Johns IceCaps earning a record of 17-5-1, 2.3Gaa, 0.923S%, which earned him the recall by The Jets in March. He played 3 games in 2014 (final 2) and allowed a total of 5 goals.

Is he playing above his head? YEAH! Dudes got a 0.941s% and a 1.71GAA in his 15 NHL career games. Even if Lundqvist got that it would be playing over his head. But I think Hutch is for real, not this real, but he’ll actually become a starter. He was drafted 77th overall (3rd round) by Boston who’s scouts seem to know goalies. However, Hutch vs Gibson, I’ll take Gibson right now.

As are you in favor of me burning a roster spot to keep Gibson then?

Depends whos on the FA but yeah i'd keep him possibly. But look at other peoples "Rookies" and see if someone would drop Gibson for their rookie. maybe involve him in a trade

I wasn't quite a believer of Hutchinson yet, but after last night's road win against the Hawks, he has my attention. Anybody else thinking of getting on the Hutchinson train for the rest of the season? The only thing that scares me about him is Winnipeg's blue line is so depleted right now, he can't keep stopping 38 of 39 shots every night can he?

He probably can't keep stopping 40 shots, but if he stops 37 of them his numbers are still going to be decent. And in my league we count saves, so a depleted D has an upside. I'm not waiting another 36 hours to nab him and drop Schneider if I can't trade Schneider away.
