Thanks. You're right I should but, I have been a contender the last few years and tend to overlook the kids when in that position.

To be honest I've never seen him play but have read enough about him. I picked him up off the waiver wire hoping for a home run.

Will his game translate well to the NHL? I see he is playing well enough in his AHL rookie season to lead the baby Pens in scoring and is 5th in scoring amongst all AHL defenders. I guess I'm asking if he is a lock to be a star at the NHL level? Future stud or the jury is out, be patient if you can but don't gamble too much?

I also own Maatta. In time will he surpass Maatta as Fantasy asset in a points only league?

Everything I've heard out of Pittsburgh the last 15 months has been just how great this kid really is, and arguably the best offensive defenseman in the system (including Letang). Just great instincts and hockey sense, crisp passes, the whole works. If he didn't have surgery in May, he would have made the team.
