I think I made up some ground on the leaders, but not sure who caught me as well. Should be a close finish, though watchingthegame is likely to get a huge bump if the Swedes steamroll the Slovaks.

I can't believe I talked myself out of Domi and McDavid... McDavid I figured would be very rusty after his layoff and Domi I thought would end up in the doghouse with some undisciplined play, boy was I wrong...

A fair amount, I'd say. McDavid showing up in the later rounds of the tournament is helping a lot of people, and the Swedes unspectacular showing against the Russians didn't help.

The russians scored a lot, but very few of those who got points were picked.

    Talked myself out of :

Domi in favor of Nick Ritchie (playing the top line with McDavid and Lazar herp derp - that's a 7 point gap)

Demko for Saros (That's another 6 or 8 points since Saros got nothing).

I'm at 91 and first place has 107. Those extra 13 keep me in the running.

I'm just happy that I'm inside the top 10 at this late stage. Hope I can stay there.

Speaking of hindsight, since it's fun to reflect on what could've been, I was this close to swapping Saros (my current pick) with Soderstrom. Oh well.

A Canada win would put me 5 behind but still thats too much ground to cover.

Thought I might be a point or two closer. Basically had a perfect day and am still back by 5

I need Slovakia to win, preferably keeping Nylander's points somewhere close to zero. And need McDavid to go nutso.

Lost 1 point in the Sweden/Slovakia game.

Looks like McDavid (x2) and Provorov for me vs Domi for watchingthegame and I need to gain 6 points. Awfully slim chances.

I need that top line of Canada to light it up. Domi/Duclair show, like game 1.

Oh wow, you have Petan and Fucale as well. I like your chances better than mine. I had Reway so picked up 3 points on you, but if Canada goes crazy with points you'll be in great shape.

As much as I'd love to see it, I am skeptical that Canada lights up Russia. It's not that it's not possible, especially with that roster, but I just don't see it happening.
