Really strange situation here. Net is moved way out of the way and coaches/trainers are huddled around Mason as he's being helped.

Lots of chatter in #Flyers room that Mason was in some sort of spasm or his body locked up. It's going to be a while before word from team.

Sounds like a back injury from what is out there.

I have very little faith in Emery's ability to stay healthy, let alone to actually do the job well for very long.

Who is next in line here? Rob Zepp? Stolarz has been solid in the AHL but he's still a kid really ... he can't come in and do the job can he?

Sounds like the equivalent of people getting back injuries from lifting too much and/or twisting. Not a good situation at all.

Zepp has a small chance of pulling a Thomas/Huet but most likely Philly would be stuck with two backups. Stolarz can come in and do well but I still get the feeling that they will dump him as soon as he falters. Remember Bobrovsky?

The reports over the past month or so indicate that he's been dealing with some lower body/back type issues for a while but trying to play through. He's given it a solid effort but might just need to heal up and let the Flyers crash down the standings for a bit.
