Schneider for Barrie

How would you say Schneider rounds out my goal tending situation for the next season ahead? I would have fleury and Schneider locked in and would need to acquire another via draft. Ultimately, I would only trade for Schneider if you think he will be a top ten/fifteen fantasy net miner next season and the one after. My biggest worry is really just the team he's on.

If you can afford to trade Barrie, then you are going to get a workhorse of a goalie. Looking at your D - you can afford to do the trade.
Schneider is going to get a ton of starts in the next 2-3 years. Easier to find the next D man than the nexy G man.

just to be sure , is saves worth .20 or .25? To me without doing much math tenders look to be worth alot and I might be missing something but if u can get Schneider for Barrie thats just crazy. Barrie should be easy to replace in a 10 team League I believe

Typically I've found 0.20 points per save coupled with -1 per goal evens out pretty well so that goalies remain equally paced with skaters.

Back to the trade, goaltending isn't incredibly important in a 10 team league, but Schnieder is a solid upgrade on Pavelec and he is definitely the better player in the deal. I wouldn't bat an eye at giving up Barrie for him, especially with your D, you should be able to lose him without batting an eye. I would then shop Pavelec for a late pick, or just drop him outright for an addition elsewhere.
