Trade hiller?

Stats: g,a,PPP,gwg,shp,blks/hits(one stat),sog,fow, w,gaa,sv,sv%

Nightly lineups, one goalie a night, 9f,5d

I am going for the win and this might help or hurt nt sure but more looking long term and wondering if this is a good move. My other goalie is Rask.

I give: hiller, cassels,4th rounder 2016(entry draft)
I get: Montoya, jurco, ceci, shore(Dallas), 2nd 2016

The plus here is all the guys I am getting will be prospect eligible through start of next season and I can filter them in and out of my roster all season for extra games.

In previous seasons Rask has a habit of getting injured. In a 18 team league I would image that starting goalies are hard to come by so I'd keep Hiller as a reserve and use him for those extra daily starts.

I agree with gainerama in a 18 team league, goalies must be hard to own. I wouldn't do this deal as you aren't getting anything special here.

Agree with both above. Just not enough upside coming back to you to justify moving a starting goaltender.

Hold on to Hiller. Goalies count for nearly 1/3 of scoring categories in your league, and most teams will only roster one #1 goalie, you've got two so that gives you a leg up. If you want to move him target a team with only one weak starter.

I don't think you are getting anywhere near the value for a true #1 goalie.

None of those prospects excite me and Montoya will rarely see the ice when Lu is healthy. I don't see how you win in this deal at all....decline and co tinue to shop Hiller.

the way I see this is I can only use hiller 26 more times due to conflicts and 8 of those are b2b's. that leads me to think I will only get 20 maybe starts. that's already backup material. if I can move him for these pieces to beef up my depth and future im leaning towards it making sense. I hear what you are all saying and im very hesitant to do this deal.. that's why I needed to post here.

I won 2 seasons ago and lost in the championship this past year and without moving my stars (okposo, pavelski, ovechkin) no one will trade from me bc my depth is shot after I sold all picks and depth to snag franson, staal, and rask last season.
