How high is Seguin's value? (Points n PIMS)

League in sig, primarily points and pims only with an emphasis on power play points.

Wondering what you guys think Seguin's value is going forward, is he a top 3-5 guy along with Crosby, Malkin, etc.? Im thinking of making a move for him but it would involve moving one of my three big centers who have been the staple of my successful team in the past and therefore Im a little shaky on even attempting trades. I think of the three Getzlaf would be most expendable (even though Im a big ducks fan and this breaks my heart), I feel its close between him and Backstrom but Backstrom's point and PPP production has been amazing. Im thinking of offering something along the lines of Getzlaf/Yandle for Seguin/Draft Pick. The guy holding Seguin is hurting on D and I've been looking to shop Yandle.

The entire Stars team is a good buy low....Ilike the deal you proposed there, although giving up Getzlaf sucks....that being said, I'm a Ducks fan.

Ah, got it. yeah, I prefer Hedman as well. but my one concern is treating Yandle as a "throw in" in this for a draft pick. Your team looks set to win again this year, and giving away Yandle and hitting up FA for his replacement might hurt that a bit. I'm fine with the deal, but only if there is a good FA replacement for him.

Well I only have to ice 2 defense so for the rest of the year Im rolling two of Vatanen, Hedman, and Klingberg; nothing special on the FA wire so might use the add on a W. I'm currently second to a team who has Crosby, Malkin, Vrbata, Burns and Giordano. But I see your point, the league is 16-team 5-keeper, so even a first round pick probably doesnt get me a player in the top-75, I am essentially giving up two elite keepers for another elite keeper and possible keeper/good young prospect.

Considering the D you currently have, I think the deal with Getzlaf and Yandle would be a good one for Seguin. I like Seguin a little more than Getzlaf. It also helps that he's younger.
