    Default Tough trade offer

This is a tough one for me because I'm looking at the names and the stats keep getting in the way.

Sometimes my brain needs to shut up, ya know? ...or maybe it doesn't
Just take note we don't count shots or hits in this league. The Krecji injury scares me as well.
    Anyways,
My original trade has been countered today with...

    Pavelski, Krecji, Brodie, Howard

    -

    Burns, Versteeg, Callahan, Nelson

I would reject it for the simple reason as there are too many players involved. I find that these large deals can be confusing to evaluate and also detract from the main reason for making a deal in the first place. My thinking is simple - have a goal and look into offers that are specific to that goal. If the offer also focuses on the other manager's needs, and meets your own, then it could be a good fit. Get back to basics and figure out what you are trying to do, aside from just improving your team.

Also, just the fact that you are unsure tells me that you should reject. I would never accept a deal that gives me doubts, regardless of what others may suggest. I haven't even done an evaluation to see if this benefits you. Think of your needs and focus on them. Even if perception of a deal may appear positive, if it doesn't achieve a need then it may not give you the most benefit.

I may be in the minority in reasoning, and perhaps answer (as others may say to accept), but that's how I feel.

Interesting. Well how about doing an evaluation of it.

Sorry I'm not for the reasons I mentioned above. I'm not going to say 'yay' or 'nay' (I can't really do that right now) when you are already unsure about it and I don't know what the goals are for making a deal given the number of players. If others give you this evaluation then great, I hope that helps. I wanted to give you advice from another perspective so it's up to you whether or not it has any value.

If you are having doubts, why should our votes sway you? What are you trying to do? What were your goals of the original offer?

My suggestion is to reject and simplify - I don't need to evaluate the pieces to change my advice.

I guess the overall goal, of any trade really, is to gain the advantage and get players who will put up lots more points. Fill the voids you have on your team, and hopefully but not always out point the players you are giving away. Anybody else have an opinion?

doesn't take much to vote does it? So far it's a landslide out of eight votes. only 2 posts? one suggestion and one post about trading philosophy?

Yes it is max games. The league settings are in my signature. 15 team yahoo rotisserie style.

182 max games, typical. 128 center games remaining, 137 lw, 135 rw
goalies I've only played 19 games out of 91 max
