Bump - I picked up on this too but I know nothing about him. I know Barrie gets a lot of O-zone deployment and is a true #1 PMD in a sense so I don't really see that much room for Redmond because I assume EJ comes after Barrie in the depth chart.
So what's the deal with redmond? I don't know anything about him, but noticed he now has 6 points in 10 games for the avs and played big pp minutes today. He was drafted a while ago and only has a handful of nhl games. Does this guy have sleeper potential or is what he's doing a fluke right now?

Underrated dman that never got a fair chance with the Jets.

Totally agree. I hate that the Jets let this guy go. He's not a superstar point man or anything, but he's a guy that does everything well at both ends of the ice. He's a very good skater and he's got great instincts. He may never be a prime point producer, but even if he's not getting tonnes of PP time, he'll still put up respectable numbers, because his game is just solid.
Didn't get a fair shake because he was a band-aid boy.
