He has one 46-point season but considering how his career has unfolded if I had to put money on him hitting 50 I would definitely bet against it happening.

No I don't see 50 from him. He had that 24 goal 46 point season awhile back while gobbling up all sorts of minutes with the Islanders....he's not getting that this year. If he can stick with Malkin all season maybe he can approach 50, but without the PP time it's gonna be hard. 40 should be a reachable number for him, if he stays with Geno.
