Need a fifth D for hits and blocks, any suggestions?
I dont even really need them to get me any points, but id like to really bolster the HITS and BLKS. Was thinking maybe Roman Polak but im definitely open to suggstions!

My other D are Stralman, Josi, Vatanen, Giordano, Krug(IR) and Niskanen who are all fairly offensive guys but dont put up many hits. Ive lost the HITS cat for two weeks so im thinking of dropping Niskanen for an extra D while Krug is on IR.

Can you pick someone up and put him in today’s lineup? Do you have a limit on pickups? I’d say just stream a player for the 2 weeks. 2 guys who put up 10 hits/week is better than 1 guy who puts up 15 in a week.

Yeah im able to insert into todays lineup. Limit 45 acquisitions per year so I dont know if Id want to stream guys in, especially for a hitting d-man.

21 weeks a yr for regular season, plus 3 playoff weeks=24 weeks. You can do just under 2 a week. But that includes trades if you’re saying acquisitions. Polak, Regher, Hedja, Mark Stuart, Matt Greene, Luke Schenn, Orpik?

how much are you losing hits by? would one D make up that difference? sometimes you're better off specializing in where you're already strong.

You just have to decide if you want to sacrifice one of your offensive guys, to pick up someone to help you with hits.The other option is to try and trade for someone with some offence and hits.
If you have enough offensive D then go ahead and acquire a hitting D man.

What I like to do is go here:

Instead of grabbing the top guy I grab the guy near the top that offers the most in the other categories relevant to my league. Even though you have needs the other categories still count and you will need them too down the stretch.

From that list, I think Jake Muzzin is your man. He is just returning from injury. Top pairing Dman next to Doughty, also playing on the PP with very good HIT numbers. Give him a shot.
