Boychuk or Chara points only keeper

A few short weeks ago this would be laughable, but now, not so much.

I can flip Boychuk for Chara but am really thinking that Boychuk will put up just as many goals and points as the big man, and he is almost a decade younger.

I'm all for selling high, but Boychuck looks more and more like a better option.

Now is definitely not the time to make this deal, Chara is out 4-6 weeks.

So that gives you a lot of time to keep monitoring Boychuk. From what I understand Visnovsky was back on the PP as soon as he came back from injury....I don't get that setup, Boychuk is a good fit on that unit. But if that continues then Boychuk's value is gonna dry up quite a bit.

Id keep Boychuck in a keeper at this point. Vissy is not a genuine threat in my mind, but worth monitoring....but whats the rush Chara is hurt for a while..

Im considering mostly because im not going for it this year and want the better asset to either trade this year or have over the next couple of years. The other GM is all in and wants to move his injured Chara

I like being able to insulate my young core with some veteran producers, and Chara is gold in my league.

But, I honestly am starting to think that Boychuk will put up similar if not better points this year and beyond.

Chara has become a 40-ish point defender, with it being more likely he scores 35 than 45. Without the physical stats to boost him up his value takes a big hit. Boychuk needs to be on the top PP to be effective, but with that group clicking so well I expect he'll be back very soon. In that case, I think he's a safe bet for 40-ish points. So basically Chara. Without missing a month and a half of games.

I like that a lot better....I see the BIG reward for a dman goal but those are somewhat hard to predict

Has anything changed now that Vis is back?

Looks like JB got almost 7 minutes on the PP last night so doesn't look like Vis is a major threat. Haven't seen recent games though so let me know if I am missing it. Chara-JB is on the table and I am still standing pat with JB. Want to sell high though if it is the right move...
