Marble Courtyard Statue
Hey guys, would you take Vinny Lecavalier over Shane Doan or David Perron?
My immediate knock on Perron is that his ice time is down over last season, he has no centre to play with (on the 3rd line with Purcell), an he's due for an ugly +/- season.
Slightly intrigued by Lecavalier's spot on PP1 and his linemates Schenn and Simmonds are pretty high quality. I don't think he's done yet, but popular belief says he's made of stone now.
Doan...what you see is what you get. ~50 points and average peripherals on a low scoring team. Plenty of ice time though and on the first line.
Thoughts appreciated.

Vinny Lecavalier was sidelined with a BROKEN BACK last season and is on the IR again already. Are you extrapolating numbers based on him coming back from injury then playing every game from that point out? Let another GM throw himself on that grenade.

I'll roll with Doan for now. I'm disappointed by how the Oilers are using Perron this season, but I'll try and wait it out. Their lack of any offensive minded C beyond the already injury prone RNH is kinda sad.
