I don't really think Wheeler is an upgrade. In a keeper, I'd move Zetterberg for Kopitar though.
Does anyone trust him to stay healthy? I was offered Wheeler. Anyone think that is an upgrade or do you think i could do better? Might be wishful thinking, but i was going to try for Kopitar.

I personally don't trust him to stay healthy.
Def wouldn't trade him for Wheeler though... you can do better.
I got essentially with C.Franzon as a throw in RNH and Piets for my Zetterberg if that helps

I don't know, Wheeler for Zetterberg isn't so bad. Wheeler is good for 65-70 points, but you know he's gonna play 80 games. Zetterberg can score 80 points, but if he only plays 60 games then that's not happening obviously. But, nobody scores a lot on the Jets PP, which will keep Wheeler's numbers down in those cats, while Zetterberg should be good for lot of PPP.
I think I stick with Zetterberg here, but I'd have no problem moving him for a 70 point guy as long as they get some PPP.

Just a comment on his health, before last season Zetterberg missed the following number of games in recent seasons:
12/13: 2
11/12: 0
10/11: 2
09/10: 8
08/09: 5
Assuming he's fully healthy now, I'm not going to worry about his health after one injury.
The best part about Zetterberg is that he has 10 points in 8 games while getting 0ppp playing 3-5 minutes on the powerplay. Assuming that his even strenght production slows down, his PPP production will cover and he will remain at the point per game, or a little higher.
I'd keep him over Wheeler.

Surprising, I thought he'd missed more time. I do know that he's not always playing at 100%, which might as well count as missed time since he's not helping much with 3 points in 10 games. He's also 34 years old now, the injuries will become more common, not less at this point.

I still don't trust him. If it were a number of different random injuries I would be less concerned, but it's always his back. Only a matter of time before the shoe drops. 34 is old for any hockey player, nevermind one with a chronic back problem.
I agree back injuries almost scare me worse then concussions. It's a core injury and they tend to linger. I would strike while the irons hot and get something for him now. If the chance that he does go down similar to last years missed games he will be labelled an extreme BAB and his value will disappear. Don't believe me about value on a PPG player disappearing due to a couple injuries? Go ask the Malkin owners....

Ok a couple older guys have stayed healthy. But generally as players age and the miles on their bodies pile up, injuries become more common. Look at Zetterberg's teammate, Datsyuk. He was always a durable player, however the last few years he's started missing more and more games. Marian Hossa was an 82 game per year player, then all of a sudden he wasn't.
