Default Sell high on Rick Nash?

Would you trade Nash while he is hot? Who would you guys aim for? A guy in my league is a big Ranger fan and was looking to try either N. Backstrom, Joe Thornton, or H. Sedin,

I'd trade Nash for either Backstrom or Thornton in a pts only league without hesitation.

    Depends on categories.
Especially when your return is assist-heavy guys.

If it's just points, I'd probably prefer any of those 3 pass-heavy centers.
If it's Goals/SOG, I'd prefer Backstrom, maybe Thornton, not H.Sedin.
If it's Goals/SOG/GWG, I'd probably hold Rick Nash... or maybe deal him for Nicklas Backstrom... but not Thornton... and definitely not H.Sedin.

I agree with the point that it depends on format, scoring and positional (Nash is a winger those 3 are all C-only).
In almost any format I'm taking Backstrom in a heartbeat and Thornton as a second choice. Backstrom is assist heavy but also PPP heavy which (if counted) is HUGE.
If it's multi-category Henrik and Nash are close, with PPP included I probably prefer Sedin as I don't trust Nash's health.

The stats are G, A, P, Plus/Minus, PPP, SHP, PIM, SOG, GWG, Hit, Blocked Shots, Faceoff Won, and Defense Points for players....And for Goalies it's W, L, GA, GAA, Saves, SV%. Minutes Played, SHO.

I was leaning towards trying for Backstrom first. What do you guys think?

Yes, see if you can get Backstrom.
If he says NO... and if HE is asking... you say "Well, what will you offer?".

    Is he asking?
    or
    Are you offering?

There's a big difference as trade negotiations go.
If he is asking, then you fair right to ask him what he is willing to offer.
If you are offering, you just have to tell him what you want and find out if he is OK with that.

I sent the offer and he was close to accepting but then he countered with Nash for Joe Thronton. I already have Marleau. I don't know if it's good having too many players on the same team.

And what do you consider "back to form"? If you look at Nash's full season stats in the last 5 years his "form" isn't anything to go crazy about. He's a sell high and then some.
