Which I rejected without much thought.
Now the same GM has countered with

Evander Kane + Tyler Toffoli + Jacob Trouba
For
My Nathan Mackinnon.

Any thoughts on this offer? I think it's a bit of a low ball.

Still not enough. 3 players with potential, but nothing concrete enough. With the Avs slow start it's probably not the time to trade Mac anyway.

Yup, still not worth it. He's trying to sell high on Toffoli and buy low on Mac. Mac has a 90+ point upside, whereas Kane in current format is about 50, with the potential to be 65+. Toffoli is probably a ~35-40 point guy, and Trouba is a toss in. Pass.

I'm not looking to trade Mack in my keeper league. Toffoli was also one of the players I dropped last year.

If you're not actively looking to trade him then definitely stand pat. Always trust your gut.

We dropped 4 players at the end of last year - and had a 4 round draft this season. So, from my team last year, Toffoli was a player I dropped at the end of the season. Just saying - he wasn't even a keeper last season.

If you're trading MacKinnon (and his potential value) you have to be getting the best player in the deal...ie you need an overpayment (of a top 5-10 player)

I just traded mackinnon for shea weber. granted its a 1 year league. the offers you are getting are ridiculous low

Any of those guys make sense?

Giroux, Hall, Karlsson, Weber and Price would all be good hauls for Mack in your league set up.

From that list in order to move MacK, I'd target Malkin, Giroux, Hall, Karlsson, and/or Price. I agree though that the two original offers were WAY too low. Stand Pat if that's all he is offering

Thanks people. This guy is a real good buddy of mine - and we smack talk each others teams so much, that I am incredibly biased towards my own players.
I thought it was a rough offer but just needed to make sure I'm not just over valuing Mack and undervaluing his players.

You sure came to the right place to get hyped up on Mackinnon. I'll definitely pass on giving up Malkin, Giroux, Hall, Karlsson or Price straight up for Mackinnon. Maybe a 2 for 2 or larger deal exists but I wouldn't be giving up any of those guys alone for the "potential" of Mackinnon.

P.S. Lets not forget that E. Kane, Toffoli and Trouba all possess some pretty high "potential" as well.
