    Default E.Kane value

what can we reasonably expect from him once he gets back from injury? I feel like without getting traded he will always be stunted on Winnipeg, ive had some inquiries about him and the best im getting in return in terms of an offer is Roussel + Filipula. this seems a little insulting considering hes a top draft pick and only 23 years old, one note to remember though is this is a salary league and I need to lose salary(he sits at a 6 million)

It's a tough spot with Kane. I really like him, but in Winnipeg I don't view him as anything more than a 50-55 ish point player (pro-rate for game lost). He has the talent, I just think he needs a change of scenery. I still put his upside at 70 points with great pheriperials, I just don't see it happening as a Jet. His value is probably the lowest it's ever been, or ever will be, I wouldn't be selling now. That being said, 6 mil in a cap league is a huge price to pay for potentialand hoping for a trade. It would come down to how close you are. If you're in the running, I'd be seriosuly considering offers to shed salary and make your team better now. If you're a middle of the pack or bottom dweller, I think I'd hold off and see how he performs when he returns.

Right now is not the time to trade him. His value is low and guys will low ball offers. He's still projected to be a stud and I feel he will be just that. I do think at some point he will get moved from Winnipeg. He's a player I'd still value very high.

I traded Big Buff for E.Kane and a 2nd. Big Buff had 2 years left on his contract, Kane had 3. My team is built to make a run in 2 or 3 years so the move made sense. If you have the ability to keep him long term I say hold him. Way too much talent.

Keep him for now, but I'd be looking to deal him later this year after a hot streak or two. I just don't like him....too unreliable. Doesn't produce all that well when healthy, and he's playing at 100% very rarely, almost always hurt to some degree. The potential is there, but he just doesn't seem to have much in the way of hockey sense. He's constantly killing possessions by firing the puck from anywhere and everywhere on the ice....it's good for leagues with SOG as a cat, but I think it actively hurts his point production.
