Default Trade to bring in a Goalie?

For the second team in sig. I'm thinking of trading for a third starting goalie to replace Khubodin whom i dont trust to do anything. There are 3 gms with extra goalies:

GM-A has Niemi, Halak, Andersen, Backstrom, Nabokov, Neuvirth. Decent D, great top half of his F, the second half of his F sucks (doan, brassard, tanguay, vinny, heatley)

GM-B has Crawford, Lehtonen, Bobrovsky, Quick. His D is below average, one great F, a bunch of above average F, and then 3-4 crumbs

GM-C has Schneider, Remier, Holtby, Anderson. His D is trash, all his F are solid save maybe one or two guys.

I always have trouble moving players of different positions since its hard to compare, so any ideas on fair value would be great. Likely candidates are probably Halak, Lehtonen, Holtby. Appreciate your feedback, thanks.

Side note: I'm sick of these guys gobbling up goalies in the draft so I dont want to overpay and encourage this behaviour in the future. GM-B did the same thing last year, i waited him out figuring he'd have to drop goalies at some point, but he spited everyone and finished dead last with over 40 F games below max...

Your forwards don't look particularly strong, so I would stay away from moving any of them. Your D is solid, so I wouldn't mind moving any of them, but I think I would rather move one for a forward. Personally I think your goaltending is fine. Where is Allen? I would drop Khudobin and add him, or trade something small for him, then you have the King and all of the St. Louis starts. Add Talbot even then you get all Ranger and Blues starts, pretty solid. Then I would trade any of your defensemen for a F upgrade.

If you want to get a Goalie I’d suggest these 2 tactics:
I’d target Halak (sending back Stalock {first get Stalock}) plus a MacArthur/Dupuis/Schwartz level player.

Or for GM-B, send him a trade, then when he declines, tell him you rather over pay a bit for Holtby than to over pay for Lehtonen. Then do exactly that, overpay (a bit) for Holtby. He hasn’t been 100% great yet, and I think if you overpay now, it’ll even out come November/December.

    However:
I rather Lehtonen, Dallas has less back to backs so he’ll play more games than Holtby. But with a keep 5, 2 goalie start, you don’t need to overpay for a goalie. GM-B is literally sitting 2 Venzina candidates all the time, and you’re sitting a nobody. Elliot has a 52-25 record with a GAA below 2 over the last 3 yrs. Your goalies are fine.

Try and get Jake Allen, and I think that shores up your goaltending without giving up any significant assets. If he's an FA, great. If not, his asking price will be a lot lower than someone like Lehtonen or Niemi.

^ This. Having all STL games wrapped up will more than shore up your goaltending.
