I don't see this trade as helping you now, or a year from now. One other key about MaxPac is he's an unquestioned top line and PP1 guy in Montreal, whereas Colorado's forward depth is so significant that arguably any of their top six could fluctuate into or out of the top line and PP1. In other words, Pacioretty has the better spot locked up, which in turn means he's far more likely to be a reliable producer going forward.
