    Default McDonagh & Barrie

    Guys,

so these 2 guys are projected well for the season, but their start is abysmal.

McDonagh especially is underwhelming. is he gonna top 40 this year?

What about Barrie, is he gonna be close to 50 as many have him at?

Or would you drop one of them in a 1 year league for a guy like Jagr?

or would you drop both in a 1 year leage for a guy like jagr and a guy like vatanen?

    appreciate the input,

    cheers

    p.s. league in sig

I think it might be too early to definitely say that we should lower our expectations on both of them.

The Avs have been struggling offensively so far , they should see a boost soon.

Vatanen is intriguing and I would consider him over Barrie, especially with the great schedule anaheim has but I don't think your league is H2H so it doesn't really matter.

Stand pat for another week or two.

    Keep McDonagh.

Do you need 7D in a start 6? If not then drop Barrie for Jagr otherwise drop Barrie for Vatanen.

    thanks.

the other dilemma I have is because Stepan is due to return early November I believe, and currently I am running 7 d.

So I could run 7 d and just drop one of them when stepan is ready to return too, and not worry about jagr (unless he would be an upgrade over Hudler Palat or Simmonds)

So I could stand pat, or waste a move on dropping one of the D for a fwd and make another move when stepan returns (30 moves for the year)

Hudler will probably cool down soon, run with him while he's hot and when he gets cold switch him with Jagr. When Stepan returns, drop either a D or Jagr/Hudler.

McDonagh started last year with just 2 points in his first 8 games. The whole Rangers team was crap for a month. Be patient, he'll produce.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

    I'd hold both players.
Both teams have done squat on the PP.
It doesn't take much for a PP to get rolling... need to wait a bit more.

okay fair enough, but what about my 7 d issue? Out of all 7 d, which one would you move for a guy like jagr if any. Or would you hold em all till stepan returns? at which point I would drop one

If you can slot in Jagr enough, I would drop Barrie for Jagr. I'm not a fan of Barrie. He's not seeing top PP and the Avalanche are struggling. It doesn't help that both Varley and Berra are hurt. My guess is that Barrie will stick on the WW for some time too.

You can drop Jagr when Stepan returns.

ya I was thinking that too. The other option I have is Nick Foligno who I see is having a hot start. I can ride out his hot streak and drop him or hudler when stepan is ready?

    any thoughts on that?

Replied in the other thread, but probably more likely that you'll see it here.

I'd drop Hudler for Jagr/Foligno. Hudler just doesn't have much upside IMO.

I wouldn't drop either of Krug or McD. I'd wait a little more on Barrie, I was very high on him to begin the year but the entire team has started slow.
