I'm not in good shape in either league.
I think I'm 4th in RHRS... but that's mostly pacing above GP in skater games, I'm probably more like 5th/6th as "pace" standings go.
I think I'm 5th/6th with you in PRO... gotta find some goalie stability if I want a shot there, though that's a competitive league and we could both gun for 2nd/3rd... still lots of season left.

I need Niklas Backstrom to be G1 for MIN and start 2/3 games to have a shot in either league.
I hinged 10th round picks on him in both leagues I think. Yeesh.
Numbers are there... starts are not.

In the Comish Dynasty, Das Chicleteur! is leading Tier 1 at the moment.

Pengwin7 - find me someone who has used FHG during a live, on-line draft and I will show you a freak of nature or someone who has hired an assistant to run it alongside the draft machinery. I don't think it is humanly possible.

I used it in both of my 1 year leagues this season during the live draft. It took some decent multitasking, but overall wasn't too bad.

Hats off to you Doulos - I guess I don't have the right skill set, can't imagine using it during a draft. So how did it work for you? Do you think it improved your draft results?

I've done it but it involves not participating in the live draft chat, which at that point is defeating the purpose. If I can't make fun of every fourth pick then I don't want to be drafting.

I'm actually stunned by how effective it has been.

Sitting in 4th of 75 in one league (second in my 15 person division and was 1st overall just a few weeks ago, it's close at the top) and 1st of 12 in my others. Made 0 trades, but an average amount of FA pickups along the way in both, so my success (thus far) has been largely dependant on the drafting.

I basically just added players to dummy rosters as the draft went along, which updated the draft list live as the draft happened, and made my picks based on the updated draft list as things happened. I was able to discuss the trade and banter things just fine, particularly in the middling part of the draft when things went a bit slower.

I thought it was totally possible.
I thought you (& one other entrant in RHRS) have used it in the past during our draft.
    Am I wrong?
    (If so, sorry.)

    Exactly.
    The draft should be fun.
Prepare for it, fo' sho! yeah... but I love chatting during the draft.
I think anybody that has done a live draft with me knows that I do a LOT of talking!

It just... it doesn't seem "right" to me.
Sort of... on the cusp of defeating the fun of playing fantasy sports if we have to wonder if we are doing battle with a computer program.

I hope these are money leagues that you are in and you used the in-draft FHG because you view the league as a source of income.

[Sorry - don't mean to derail this thread with a whole topic of "Is it OK to use FHG in draft?"... but at the heart of a "Champion's League"... for me... would be an ethical person-only draft. No robots. No computers.]

That'll make the online draft a challenge

The way I see it is that computer basically just stops me from doing stupid things... thus allowing my natural brilliance to carry the day!

Yup, you are wrong. I have never used Draft Guru to draft. Played with it after the fact to analyze my draft process, and only just once. In fact, the last 3 RHRS drafts, I have gone in with nothing more than the players pre-ranked in Yahoo. Do you also consider that unethical?
