Malkin's side, even if he's got Ebola.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
I feel like you might be expecting Holtby to have a miraculous year with this offer. Maybe cold feet about Bob in Columbus with the recent injuries?
Seguin is pretty sick, but is he on par with Malkin? Well, if Seguin continues to play 80 games a year while Malkin plays 60... then maybe. Plus, Malkin's value drops every time he's hurt. Frustrating for a GM that's always looking for deals. I don't think this trade is really that bad.
Kreider and Nich don't add much to the trade here, with no farm system young players with longterm upside are not overly valuable.
But I'd still take the Malkin side. Don't forget, Seguin has only posted elite #'s for 1 season. And Bob > Holtby.
I'd keep Malkin here. The trade is fairly even for me but the kicker for me is that Malkin's value is fairly low right now. Barring Seguin upping his level once again it feels like you could get this deal any time during the year whereas if Malkin stays healthy he's worth more than this.
I'm a Malkin owner and think he is a top 2 asset when healthy. But he is starting to really struggle to stay healthy. Depends if you wanna take the risk on that once every few years he plays more than 65 games and and cracks 100 or take the healthy, younger Seguin (who still has a bit of upside) who will probably contend for a top 5 fantasy asset spot. I'm on the fence, but I'm getting tired of Malkin's injuries so I would really consider Seguin. The only problem in this deal for me is Bob for Holtby as Bob wins by quite a bit (right now). I know in my league my friend who owns SEguin would not take Malkin straight up.

Thanks guys. I actually proposed this trade and it was rejected. I was kind of surprised it was rejected and wanted to see if I was losing the trade (which I thought I was) and it seems as though you all have confirmed this to be true. I guess sometimes it doesn't matter if the offer is pretty solid, if they think their guys are better it just doesn't work.
