I am Pen. I was in the Pro league last year with a bunch of you guys. I was going to give up my spot but we didn't know the Writers would come together with their own league until the last minute....and I didn't want to bail on you guys one day before the draft. You and I actually had some discussion beforehand.

I'd be happy to stick it out with you guys, or if you want to find someone to take my team over and get the opportunity, no worries on my end. Cheers.

Early season standings are fun. At first or second for the first couple weeks of the season, then drop 17 points in a night.

This happens a lot early with stats like GAA and +/- that can contribute negatively towards your total.

Yeah, it's nice to see your team at the top, but then one bad outing by a goalie and you drop 17 points...to 5th! Still, enjoying the hockey at the moment and haven't lost too many players to injury yet.

Yes, The Contras belong to the Contrarian.

Basically I had last pick. Wanted to pick two elite goalies with the wheel picks but got Quick and Subban.
From their I selected guys with dual eligible positions when I could in case I had injury problems.
    Yes I took some gambles.

Would really like if d-men were ranked against other d-man instead of lumped up as skaters but I know that's how this goes.

    So far I'm staying patient.

My D core has been shaken up by Carlyle (Gardiner)....
    And now Voynov.
Welcome to the team Forsberg and Daley. I am really happy with snagging Daley, I think he has a chance to stay on Dallas' PP1 all season.
Laidlaw, would you have taken Stralman no matter what, or did I beat you to Daley by a couple hours?

    Speaking of that:

    2 Laying the Law 69 -1.5 7.5 5 2
    3 Between The Lines 67.5 -0.5 9 3 2
    4 Edler's Mind Tricks 61 0.5 15.5 10 5
    5 The Contras 60 2.5 16.5 1 -
    6 Lancione's Forensics 59.5 -0.5 17 4 5
    7 SJ Mets 51 -2 25.5 9 3
    8 Daoust Dynasty 47 0 29.5 11 2
    9 Edmonton Clowns 41 3.5 35.5 7 1
    10 Brad's Killer Bees 34 -1.5 42.5 8 -

If I follow last year, my scoring will dry up as I continue to plunge from being first a week or two in, now to fourth, and probably further down.

You could also do it my way. Start the season in last place, and then there's no dropping 17 points a night.

I prefer the approach of having somewhere to fall from but it appears I subconsciously follow your approach.
