Well... I believe the UHL is the only H2H league.
I don't know anything about league, just that it has a lot of incredible forum members in it.
You UHL-ers would have to decide.

Rocky Horror Roto Show is roto league.
Incl: horrorfan, shoeless, temek, Lord of the Rinks, dooley, myself, Comish, chili con carne, 4T2, smack, nehithaw, arctic roque
Myself, horrorfan, and temek are in Tier II PRO league as well.

Sounds good. There are some other awesome leagues out there that might want a spot. The best league I've ever been in is the ECFL as part of CapWise Hockey http://capwisehockey.com/ I think the champion of that five league association would be more than capable of taking anyone on here. There are some writers/forumers over there, and we don't necessarily win very often.

Oh, I'm sure there's awesome fantasy hockey minds elsewhere than DobberHockey.
But I think if we really decide to do a "Champion's League", it should really be Dobber Forum Members only.
We may even have to set a forum minimum of like 500posts.
I don't want some NOOB knockin' us all off and getting to call himself "The King"

    That's gonna be the title.
    "DH Fantasy Hockey King: 2016".
Champion's League winner gets to throw that in their SIG from April 2016 to April 2017.
We could probably also design a little "icon" and have Dobber assign it.

    How cool, I think.

Could call the champion of champions - Puck King.

For a whole year, he could only be addressed with reverance on the forums in one of the following ways:

    Puck King Awesome
    Puck King Fantastic
    Puck King Annoying
    Puck King Useless
    Puck King A--hole
Puck King __________ fill in the blank

Yeah, but I was right there and I've got an improved team. Anything can happen in a H2H league. If we're betting "who won't win" it's pretty easy to bet against anyone repeating.

As promised, I "backed up" my Smith was a suboptimal pick argument in the form of my Cage Match article, linking to the draft results. Any second guessing now Steve?

All the best to everyone for a fun season, and good luck..........to me!

Ha. Nope. What's missing from that argument is context. There were more better LW than RW available when I picked. I also disagree with your argument that Boedker is a lock for 50+ points but that's another story.

RW was a problem the entire draft. At every pick I would look at my list an notice only one or two RW within what my screen could see. Definitely impacted some of my decisions.

I have a total of 4 RW eligible players, so I feel your pain.

Yeah, and this wouldn't be a conversation if you had just left me Doan where I drafted Smith.

So far I have used 3 of my 25 picks, and I'm not even a week in. We will see how it works out.

I've dropped Jordan Staal (injured), Anders Lee (in the AHL), and Olli Jokinen (my last pick of the draft) for Conacher (Tavares line), Pavelec (any NHL starter can have a great season, goaltending is so random) and Vlasic (first unit PP to go with his excellent defensive game).

I'm curious to hear how this works out. I'm not sure I could play in a league where you are forced to manage for unknown situations in the future. In daily leagues, I'm all for a maximum number of games per positional slot, but not a moves limit.

Can you identify who were the owners of each team? Writers, when you do an expert's league that will get coverage on the site, your name needs to be somewhere...or you're just hiding

Who are The Contras? The Contrarian?

    Good suggestion.

Also (unless I missed somewhere) you used to make the league public so we could all have a look. Could you do this?

I liked the idea of hiding and anonymity. My team is the Edmonton Clowns, I'm the Wild West writer................
