Keepers help needed...

Hey guys,

Been winning my league for the last 2 years and been doing so while getting younger guys. I am having problems with keeepers this year has Big Buff will be considered fwd in my league if he plays more that half the season at fwd (D if he plays half on D). I was planning of letting Sedin and Streit go but am unsure. This would leave me with a hole on D that I would need to fill with my first round draft pick (More than likely someone like Barrie, Ekblad, Nurse, etc). Should I let Big Buff go and protect Streit or do you think that Big Buff will revert to D at some point? Any comment on the subject or other ideas on my protected players is greatly appreciated.

Can you trade Byfuglien to another owner who would be willing to take a chance on him? Winnipeg really wants his added firepower up front, and Trouba should do an effective job of replacing Buff on the back end, so I would definitely not bank on him counting as a D this season.

So yeah, see if you can get some trade value for him. If not, drop him and grab Ekblad. I don't think he'll score as much as Barrie this year, but there's a chance he could, and he is the better long-term own.

So basically, you must drop 2 from your team in sig.?

It sucks to drop one of Sedin, Drouin or Nichushkin... On D, I would gamble on Byfuglien playing defense. Worst case, he should hit 60 pts up front.

My drops would be Sedin and Streit. I would protect both those guys and drop Nichu and Schultz for this year, but considering the keeper status, I would be willing to take the hit on this year's point totals and bank on their later production.

Exactly what I am currently thinking. Plus we only count the 6 best fwd and 3 best D-man. Drouin and Nish won,t hurt me this year unless I suffer too many injury.
