I'm going with PK. He's great now and has untapped potential.
I have my choice of acquiring one of these 2 in my roto league. We play G A +/- ppp pims hits blocks shots.
These 2 are very close in everything I have read.
Webber is the finished product whe as PK has more scope for growth. Although I worry PK might reduce PIMs as he grows in to a leadership role.
FHG rates both as top 10 for the league overall.
Not too concerned with age, more about winning a title in the new future.
Who would you take and why?
I'm going with PK. He's great now and has untapped potential.

PK for me too. Hits those cats well and is just starting his rise.
I had a similar choice to make.
I chose PK.

Weber for me. I think his numbers take a bump with guys like Laviolette and Neal coming in and their offense changing schemes. The rest of his numbers, other than his offense, don't need to be discussed.

Both are great options but what you should consider is this: you know what Webber ceiling is...Subban has the higher upside. Your choice is really play it safe and take Weber or assume a little bit of risk and potential reward with Subban. Personally, I'm taking PK.

Subban for me, both are great defencemen but I think Subban has just a bit more to give.

2012-2013 and 2013-2014 league champ
In a keeper with these categories, I'm going Subban. In a 1-year format, give me Weber because of his dominance across categories. With these categories, Weber was the 3rd ranked Dman (FHG), while Subban ranked 5th (behind Byfuglien, Karlsson, Weber, Phaneuf).

For me, it's Shea Weber.
Weber should consistently beat PK well in Hits/Blocks.
PK has had a lot of PIM in the past based on minor penalties taken from getting caught... those go away as he becomes a more polished player (which is happening).
He really doesn't get in that many fights and age will lower those as well as misconducts.
He's been a 120 PIM guy in the past, already down to 80 PIM, and I'd expect him to settle in at 60 PIM /year.
I see PK being possibly 10 assists better than Weber.
I have my own spreadsheet with these cats which puts Weber at 250pts, PK at 220pts.
Weber for me.
He's a monster who is gold in Hits/Blocks leagues.
Another Subban vote here.
I love Weber, but Subban is special. Unlike many players who sign a big long-term contract, I think Subban will step up his game even more to prove to everyone out there why he is worth the big bucks! He plays his game with energy and passion. He loves to get the crowd roaring and he now wants to lead the team and wear the prestigious Montreal Canadiens C on his chest. You can bet your lunch money that he will have a career year!

I am biased, but I will take Weber
Can't go wrong with either, as they are both very close when comparing categories. That said, I would lean towards PK as he is 3 years younger than Weber and is just on the cusp of entering his prime.

I think Weber is the best true defensemen in the league and he will bring a little more to the table in a roto league. Go with Weber.
