Default Can we talk a little about Jamie Benn?

I have been searching through forums trying to determine the value of Jamie Benn.

I'm strictly speaking on a points only basis, but what is everyone's take on Benn. His hype factor is through the roof right now.

Is a a sell high and possibly land a star?
    or
Is he going to be a perennial top points only player soon?

    - - - Updated - - -

Or maybe there is someone better with "the words" that wants to write something?

I think he's a Stud. I think he's going to be a PPG to PPG+ player for seasons to come.

Don't sell unless you are getting a rock steady low 80s - 90 point player. Even then, I'm not so sure how much of a "sell high" that is.

Jamie Benn is very hard to trade or trade for now.

If you own him, you absolutely love him because he was most probably one of your top producer last season. You would need a very good offer to move him.

If you want to own him, read above and get ready to overpay for a young superstar in the making.

I think his prime years will feature what you saw from him last season, not much more or much less than that. People suggesting 90pts are crazy, I think even 85 will be a career high for him. Great player, great drive, great to watch with Seguin but don't go treating him like the next Stamkos, Tavares or Hall

    I agree with this.

I see Benn being a 75-80 point guy (assuming he plays 75+ games) going forward with one or two seasons flirting with 82+ points.

In a points only league I don't think he deserves to be on anyone's top 15 list. Much more valuable in multi-cat leagues.

If Benn is a 75 points guy (let alone 80), he's most definitely a top 15 option in points-only league imo.

Maybe a little overhyped at the moment, but he's the real deal. 70+ is a safe projection, with Seguin and Nichushkin he could repeat his last season's performance more often. This trio could become the new version of that Spezza - Heatley - Alfredsson line from back in the days in Ottawa. Not 100 points each, but you get the picture, just a dominant fantasy line.

    Absolute stud.

75-85 points steady from here on out. Could flirt with 90+ if a line of him, Seguin and Nichushkin eventually end up together and clicking. He is very similar to Getzlaf but his goal scoring hands are a tad better.

I also think he has another gear. 85-90 points will be his peak years.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

    Perennial Stud.

80-90 points yearly but I believe he has even higher potential.

Well, this is a little biased because Benn helped me win my my dynasty league, but he's an absolute stud. I think he's a top-10 fantasy player.
