Sounds to me like you are looking for someone to talk you out of keeping Bobrovsky.
It won't be me. Keep Bob.
Hello hockey fans,
Just looking for some advice to see if I have my keepers in order. My biggest dilemma for my final keeper is between Pacioretty and Bobrovsky.
REP given...
Notes:
- I'm pretty stacked on LW and considering I have no real keeper goalie outside of Bobrovksy, I'm leaning towards Bob over Pacman.
- Does Pacman have more value than Bob, and if so should I hold onto him and trade him for a better keeper goalie?
- In our league we can keep a minimum of 5 keepers and a maximum of 7. I could just keep 6 (so drop Pac's and Bob) and draft one of the remaining goalies which will probably include the likes of Rinne, Luongo, Mason, Bernier, Halak, Smith and maybe Varlamov or Bishop
- I know some people might suggest dropping E.Kane and keeping Pac's but with my league scoring system Kane has the potential to be a HUGE multi-cat stud, so I'm willing to be patient with the kid and see how the next 1-2 years go
- On a side note, the GM who owns Bishop has offered to trade Bishop and his first round draft pick for Pietrangelo. In which case I would loose Pietro but I could also keep one of Bob or Pacman.
- my goalie situation was my achilles heel last year, so I want to change that.

I think I would be keeping Pacioretty instead or MONAHAN, SCHEIFELE

Yeah Keep Bob, definitely better than any you said will be there in the re-draft

I'd keep 2 of Turris, Backes, Eberle, and Pacioretty over Monahan and Scheifele.
Probably lean toward Backes and Eberle/Pacioretty.
Definitely keep Sergeant Bob.
Good luck !

Sorry guys. Just to clarify, we can keep 7 veterans and 5 rookies (any player under 160 games in the NHL) for a total of 12 keepers. Veteran and rookie keepers have no effect on each other. So keeping Monahan and scheifs has no bearing on whether or not i can keep Patches. If I want Patches I will have to drop a veteran which I am currently considering keeping, which would be Bobrovsky.
+1 for Bob.
Is it confirmed that Buff will continue to have D status?
He is one you could consider dropping for Patches.

I'm hearing Buff will be RW/D in Yahoo!
How many teams, and how easy would it be to draft a good goalie?

I would keep Bob, you have no goalie depth.
I would also be tempted to drop Buff and keep either Eberle or MaxPac
If goaltending was your "Achilles heel" last year, then definitely keep Bob.

If you had better goalies, I would have said Maxpac especially in a goal heavy league (4 points for a goal). In your situation keep Bob whose an interesting shut out option, and then try to balance out your drafting by getting another solid option at G, and a scorer who might slip.
Bob is the easy pick IMO. Your keepers are set, and your rookies are easy. My only question would be if Buff. has D-man status. He will be a forward in all my leagues this year. If he's a F, then Yandle, and your set.
Any chance you can package Eberle, Turris and Pacs (or any other leftovers) for an upgrade in net?
