keeper league help needed

hi guys,

i'm about to enter a new keeper league with 10 GMs in POINTS ONLY ( 2 pts for shutout and 3 for hat trick). We protect 11 players and the players who played less than 164 games are automaticaly protected. During the season only 6 F, 4D and 2 G count.


I have the 1st overall and since i take a pretty good team already I should be in top 5 and maybe even better....

i'm not sure how to make my plan for this one...

My question is.... who do you guys pîck 1st overall and when should I pick the 2014 rookies ???
I have picks # 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71 in the draft.

You're contending, so I would go with an active guy instead of a prospect, for me it would probably be NAsh. I'm not a huge fan of his in points only leagues but he has the upside to give you 70+ and maybe a hatty or two. On top of that you may have a Nash fan in the league you can flip him for an upgrade after he goes on a tear!

As for the rookies it all comes down to the value at that spot, if there's a huge run on them early I'd skip out and just draft to win, but if a couple of your favorites are slipping to a good spot in the 2nd or 3rd then its wort hthe grab.
