    Default Looking for input on Keepers

    Hi all, this is for my league in sig. We keep 12 players, + 3 "young keepers" (less than 164 games played). Eligible for those spots are Nyquist, Zuccarello, Zibanejad, Kuznetsov, Tarasenko.

    A couple of notes: First, in this league we each start 1 goalie and there are 10 teams. As a result, goalies have very little value and I don't plan on keeping any. Second, last year I kept 5 D. No chance I do that again...I am leaning toward keeping Karlsson only.

    My initial thoughts:

    Tavares, Karlsson, Patch, Zetts, Spezza, Turris (I am a Sens' fan, so this is a homer pick), Wheeler, Kane, Nyquist, Kuz(YK), Zuccarello (YK), Tank (YK), - The rest are open.

    It has been while since I posted, and I am looking forward to reading your input. Thanks all,

    From your scoring it looks like goalies are undervalued so I'm guessing that is why you aren't keeping one?

    Seems like Bobrovsky would be a better keeper than Turris though right? Even Spezza is debateable Last year:

    Bob = 138
    Turris = 124.3
    Spezza = 137.3

    Ottawa is a weaker team and Turris will probably take a small step backwards until they improve, I would keep Bob over him.

    I would also keep Bobrovski and if Turris is a homer pick for you, drop Zuccarello instead.

    Zibanejad for the last YK

    I'd probably keep two D to be honest, even though I know you are opposed. In a start 6 seems like they will have value, and you have some good ones. Phaneuf and Burns would be my last two guys. If you are dead set against it then I'd probably go with Hemsky and Vrbata as the last 2 forwards.

    I agree with most of this. I would be keeping Bobrovksy over Spezza. Spezza is going to a better team but but will not be the #1C therefore will probably see a dip in production. I see him getting max 60pts which is great for a #2C. Turris will see a good jump in his TOI and PPTOI and has a good chance of hitting Career highs as the new #1C in Ottawa. If it's a homer pick it's still a safe pick.
