I know Kunitz is playing with Sid but in pts only, which one is the best bet?

Kunitz easily. I'm guessing he out points RNH by 10-15 points atleast.

    Keeper league thread.
Maybe it's just me, but I would take RNH here.
I really think he carries more trade value than Kunitz.
When two players are in the same points range, I want the one I can trade more easily.
Of course, if you give Kunitz 10-15 points over RNH (I don't), they're not in the same tier.
Keeper league (12 teams) - keep 6 (+ NHL team is auto keep)

I agree with LeTrefle, and RNH would be my pick here. He might not play with Malkin or Crosby, but Hall and Eberle aren't too bad either.

RNH, I think Kunitz is nearing the end of his productive days. I think he regresses a bit. His second half was quite poor

Not just you- in a keeper its RNH- by a WIDE margin. Especially in points only- youre probably looking at a modest hit this year, and then exceedingly ridiculous differentials after that. RNH is a huge buy low. In a one year- Id reluctantly take Kunits- but in a keeper where there is even a slim chance he remains a keeper- its RNH every day of the week.

Keeper I am going RNH, as I think they will be close this year (within 10 points - most likely Kunitz getting the edge). But the question marks come with Kunitz and how each year tolls on his body; I also think Hall takes his last step to stardom this year and RNH will be the benefactor of that.

I dont think its worth keeping Kunitz ahead of RNH b/c he may score 10-15 more points next year. If you were trading RNH, you would expect more than Kunitz I believe. I suspect they will be pretty close in points next year. RNH will progress and Kunitz (at 34) could decline. The year after that, it will be even worse. This makes RNH a more valuable keeper in my opinion.

    keeper league - easily rnh.
single season league - very close, possibly a push, but i'd go rnh because of the upside. we know what we're getting with kunitz, but i think rnh breaks out big time this year with no other option at center on the oilers.

Yes, this is essentially my point aswell. However I personally feel safe taking Kunitz over the next 2 to 3 years before he declines enough to even the race. I do not believe in the Kunitz dip as much as others here. Nor do I believe in the RNH upside of 95+.

agree with most people.. in keeper you have to pick RNH

I own him and would never trade him for Kunitz...

A lot of good points being raised. What it would come down to, for me, is whether or not you realistically think you can compete for a title this year. If so, then I'd go with Kunitz but otherwise I'd go with RNH for reasons already mentioned above. I like RNH but I too do not believe that the guy has 90+ point potential/upside and I also think he's going to be be one of those guys who misses a chunk of time every season due to injury. Having said that, Kunitz isn't getting any younger and his production is hugely tied to Sid; if Crosby gets injured or if Kunitz gets moved to a different line and/or off the first PP unit, he becomes an interchangeable end-of-the-bench guy in most fantasy leagues.
