I traded Seguin in a package to get Giroux and never regretted it. Giroux for me and welcome.

Very close between the two. Will use zone entries as the tie breaker and I will take Segs over G by the slimmest of margarines. Welcome to the forum.

I want to say Seguin, but let me see another year or two at This elevated place for Seguin without any off ice issues ... Until then, I'll take the safe bet in Giroux.

I would be taking Giroux here. He has proven himself to be consistent over the last 4 seasons with 303 pts in 289 GP. He has also only missed 5 games during that time.

I would take Giroux. People quickly forget that Seguin has had an up-and-down run in the NHL so far. Not saying he will drop a long way but what if he falls down to, say, 70 points this year? Unlikely, but on the other hand Giroux has been in the point-per-game range or better for four straight years. That is big for me.

Thanks for all the advice guys...now there's a chance Malkin may be there at my pick also i'm thinking....is it a no brainer to take him over Giroux or Seguin? Gino scares me these days a bit....its a 4 year max keeper to any player we draft.....i see it playing out 1) Sid 2) Stammer 3) Ovie 4) Taveras 5) Giroux/Seguin/Malkin 6) My Pick.....thanks!

    Very close choice.
When it's close, sometimes you have to pick the player you either:
    i) enjoy watching, or
ii) believe has more "perceived trade value".

For me, as a Flyer fan, easily Giroux... because there is enjoyment there.
But it's your call. These guys are the definition of 85-90pt players.
Either one is a great call.
