    Default Enstrom

    For league in sig

Does Enstrom have a better year this year? He is the highest paid d on my team. I have some cap issues and could potentially drop him and grab Demers(3.4mil) and free up cap space.

    Any thoughts?

Sadly I fear Enstrom has plateaued. If he is your highest paid D... I'd make a move to get younger and cheaper.

Yeah that's a lot of money to pay for 30 pts.
Not sure if Demers is the best option though, he's coming off a career year plus they are moving Burns back to D

Considering he's had multiple 50 pt seasons, I don't see why he can't get back to it? Last year was a struggle in Winnipeg and lots of shuffling around. I wouldn't count him out just yet.

I'm on this train too! He's too good to throw away just yet. I can see a bounce back for him.

I think Enstrom will be back to a 40+ pt guy this season. I think he is a terrific buy-low candidate. I wouldn't be dropping him.

I agree that a bounce back could be in the offing for Enstrom. I'd not be expecting 50, but 40-45 wouldn't be all that shocking.

I am probably one of the very few but i do think that Bogosian will break out offensively this year, taking Enstrom's place on the first PP.

I'm not thinking he is going to bounce back, but I'm also not taking that chance.. Keep him this year.

He's the highest paid player on the Jets, they will give him every chance possible to succeed. I'm banking on a bounceback year from him. 50+ points.

I struggled with Enstrom vs. Boyle as my last keeper (not league in sig but same format). I ended up choosing Boyle for a few reasons. A) I'm contending now and in this format, a decent Boyle year in NY trumps a decent Enstrom year, B) The emergence of Trouba (and potentially Bogo) in Winnipeg, C) Enstrom has already on average seen less PP time and more PK time since his two 50 point seasons in Atlanta, like a minute plus per-game in each direction and D) he missed a combined 56 games in the three seasons prior to last year. Boyle missed 9 games in the same time frame.

I think even if Enstrom "rebounds", it will look something like 70 GP, 8-27-35, minus-5, 120 SOG, 40 PIM, 20 PPP. Not bad, but in roto his weaknesses are glaring.

Or more likely, he hits 50 points again while Boyle proves he is in fact totally washed up. Haha.

Love the thought process on someone in the same situation.
