C.Price for E.Karlsson

I own C.Price (Keeper League #1 in signature), but the E.Karlsson owner asked me for the price on Price...should I offer C.Price for E.Karlsson straight up? For comparison based on our leagues Fantasy Points, here is how they look to their counterparts:

Do you have someone to replace Price as your second goalie? If not, who will be available to replace him?

Assuming it's the first league in your sig, you already have AP and OEL on defence so I'd be a little skeptical about weakening your net even if it is Karlsson.

Be interested to see the full cats for your league before I commented - might be pretty tough to cover the gap even by getting Karlsson, if you let Price go.

Seems like a goalie friendly league. I’d stick with Price, not saying it’s an unfair trade, I’d just rather go in and get the goalie pts. Now in mid/end of October try and trade Quick for Karlsson. Karlsson typically starts “slow” and with the questions swirling the team and offense it might cause enough questioning for the GM owner.

Karlsson had 8 points in his first 10 games last season and 17 in his first 15, I am not sure I would call that a slow start exactly

as for the trading Price for Karlsson, I would have to keep Price here

I guess the question is, would you say you really need Karlsson or would you say you really need Price to be successful in this league? Any league that starts 2 goalies, having depth is so important, especially if injuries come through.

I am keeping Price here, even if you own Quick.

The thing about goalies is that their value can vary quite a bit from year to year (even with the good ones), skater values tend to be more stable (barring injuries).
In general though, your league looks to be goalie-heavy so you probably need to ask for more than just Karlsson for Price.

Wow, thanks everyone. Was thinking more people would be for E.Karlsson. It is for my 1st team in signature, and I don't have another goalie that's worth protecting so I would be drafting one. Last year 2 of the top 4 goalies were drafted: B.Bishop & S.Varlamov, so there is hope in finding a replacement.

Ya but who really can say they expected either of those two goalies to put up the type of numbers they did?

Love Karlsson, as Dobber says he is "The Crosby of Defenseman", but I think you have to stick with Price here. Unless you can swing a deal for another Goalie.
