    Default Team Assessment

I have just finished our pools free agent draft and now need to know what to do to put the best team possible together with what I have. We are conducting our rookie draft next week as well. I am going to be in-depth and put all my team info out, sorry in advance for the size of this assessment.

    Forwards:
    Getzlaf-8.25
    Perry-8.625
    Hornqvist-6.0
    Drouin-3.225
    Nich-2.125
    Barkov-3.575
    Kuz-2.825

    Hodgson-4.25
    Kesler-5.0
    Hossa-5.275
    Hubs-3.194
    Dubs-4.2
    Hudler-4.0
    Hemsky-4.0
    Perrault-3.0
    Raymond-3.167
    Total=74.960667

    Defence:
    Keith-5.538
    Hedman-4.7
    Trouba-1.828
    McDonagh-4.7
    Enstrom-5.75
    Benoit-0.8
    Hamonic-3.857
    Total-27.173

    Goalies:
    Bishop-2.3
    Rinne-7.0
    Total-9.3

Team Total-111.433667 and the roster cap is set at 90 mil (using players AAV). The players highlighted green are eligible to be placed on a farm team which we have just implemented this year. There are no call ups once the season starts.

Obviously I have to make some drops, there are a few no brainers here, but maybe you knowledgeable folks can guide me to putting the best team on the ice that I can.

Just to through more info out, I own the 1,2,14,19,28,37th picks of a 45 pick draft. Available rookies in our draft this year are all of the 2014 selections plus:
    Johansen
    Monahan
    Bjugstad
    H. Lindholm
    Jurco
    Hertl
    Mantha
    Teravainen
    Burakovsky
    Nieto
    Petan
    J. Campbell
    Ceci
    Morrissey
    Jenner
    Maatta
    Sheahan
    Neidereitter
    Vasilevski
    Brock Nelson

and the list goes on and on.

All responses are greatly appreciated and will receive rep!! I was in the basement last year and need to start climbing out asap, but given my team, I may be a few years off of that!

Once again, sorry for the large amount of info!

    Default Re: Team Assessment

Enstrom and Rinne aren't getting any younger or better and both have sizeable salaries. They have some value right now and could be swapped for cheaper developing options.

I am also not a fan of Raymond or Hamonic in a points only league. Hamonic is a better real life hockey player than a fantasy guy, and Raymond should see stiffer competition this year playing on one of Calgary's top two lines. Both may be worth dropping.

Just my first impressions though. Good luck.
