This is very close for me. But I'd go with Milano. I prefer his situation and think he will be in the NHL on a scoring line before Fabbri.
All the previous drafts have been done - for the most part - before Fabbri was hurt at prospect camp and Milano decided to skip BC. With this information who do you lean towards for points-only drafting? Both seem to be in the 13-17 range, so I'm curious what I might be missing. Thanks in advance (of rep, of course)!

I also prefer Milano's current situation, but I think ultimately, Fabbri is the better player in a points only league. It depends on whether or not you can wait for him to break through.

I think Milano is the safer pick and a better all-around player which will help him get onto the roster faster, but that said I like Fabbri's offensive upside more. Guess its one of those risk/reward situations in my opinion, safer player with less reward or riskier guy with higher upside.

Similar style player, similar size. I think both will be years away from making the show as both franchises are deep.
Close your eyes, flip a coin, throw a dart or use any other form of scouting you use and thats your winner. Seriously though, I dont know how we can justify one over the other at this stage in their careers.
If I had to pick, I`d say Milano because he can do stick tricks.

I was in a very similar draft situation and went with Milano. While it's still so early in their respective careers, I have more reservations about Fabbri's ability to translate his skills to the NHL level.
I'm going to go against the grain a little here and say Fabbri.
He may take a little longer to get there but I think he has sky high potential. His offensive awareness and overall IQ puts him over Milano for me. Milano is obviously a skilled player but I don't think he has the same ability to create offence and be the focal point of attack that Fabbri has.

Dmaz is on the right track. I've been watching Fabbri in person for the past two years. Kid is undersized but has little fear...is still smart and not reckless and has mad skills with and without the puck.
Fabbri for me. Going to see him play Monday night. There's a reason he was the OHL MVP last season.

I'm a big Milano fan as I drafted him before guys like Fabbri and Kapanen.
That being said, I do consider him a high risk / high reward type of player. His puck skills are simply insane, but keep in mind; last time a player with similar skills was drafted, that player never really made it passed the AHL.... his name was Rob Schremp! I had doubts drafting Milano since I had drafted Schremp in the past and he turned out to be nothing more than a YouTube sensation.
My gut still tells me that this Milano kid is special; hopefully it pans out!

Funny thing about the stick tricks. Buddy of mine was staying at the hotel when they paraded into the parking lot to do this video. He chuckled that it took nearly 20 takes to get it right. Funny thing about the internet, just makes you wonder if Milano is for real or just trying to bs his way into rep position.

Fabbri for me
In fantasy land I am not a fan of either. Both are a few years away from even getting a shot. I'm thinking they are better off being used as trade chips. So in that respect I think Fabbri has been getting more hype which might make a sucker bite and overpay. I don't see the same hype around Milano.
