Tank prorated about 55 points last season, what would his PPG look like with a 65 point season
Third team in sig, dynasty keep all, multi-cat points scoring.
Need to cut down a roster space, so I am trying to do a 2-for-1 or 3-for-2 that nets me an upgrade.
This scenario has developed: My Johansen, Neal and Edler for his Giroux and Tarasenko. I need to add another good young RW as I look to develop from within to fill that position. Neal is only a LW this year so I am overstacked at that position. I feel like Kreider can fill my 4th LW spot nicely. Edler would be dropped anyway to meet roster requirements before the draft so he is surplus. So it is really Johansen (6.5ppg) and Neal (7.3) vs. Giroux (8.0) and Tarasenko (3.8) in real terms. Giroux was the No.2 overall player last year. But Johansen and Neal are both very strong players in this scoring system. Should I do this???
Thoughtful comments will receive all the REP that the ruling fascist junta will allow.

whew yeah that's a slam dunk in my opinion. Giroux alone is probably worth that package, the fact that you also net Tarasenko (who I am a big fan of) is some pretty sweet icing.

I think its a pretty fair deal for both, if it goes through.

Yup, I would take that deal to land Giroux and Tank!

Well Neal's point totals will most likely drop not playing on the Pit offensive juggernaut. Johansen is in a contract impasse, who knows if they play hardball if it affects him mentally and he slumps. On the other hand Giroux started slowly so if he's solid to start the year he'll stay atop the scoring lead and I think Tarasenko is only going to get better. I'd probably do that trade.
I agree, this is at very worst a break even deal for you. And personally I think you win it handily.

First off, nice looking team.
Just by looking at your roster, the amount of multi-cat studs you have is ridiculous, so trading Neal/Johansen who both are more well rounded in all categories is doable to gain a powerplay/points stud like Giroux/Tarasenko.
I personally would do this deal.

low 5s makes the deal probably about a push as stands, the problem is Johansen should see an uptick, so if Neal doesn't see a downtick you will end up on the losing end of this unless as you say Tank picks up some physicality
I feel like you are better off standing pat to be honest with you, I understand that Giroux is a big piece in your league but you are giving up pretty big to get him and I am just not sure Tank makes the difference
What if he also puts in Callahan for my Nyquist? What's the consensus there? Callahan is usually a multi-cat beast but it remains to be seen if he keeps that going in Tampa. And he gets injured a lot. Nyquist is another of those guys like Tank who might score a lot but never be that great because of the peripherals. Tough call.
what was Cally's PPG in your setting
Cally was way down last year, 5.4, usually high 6s.
depending on how you compare Tank and Nyqvist perhaps you could just hold Nyqvist and see if you can get Cally instead of Tank in the deal
if you prefer Tank to Nyqvist though I can see making both deals
