stepan or hornqvist as last keeper?

Points only. Who is a better keeper for this year? I am in the running to win it all. My other keeps are Crosby, Getzlaf, Backstrom, Letang, Carlson, Hamilton, and Streit. My other option is to drop a dman and keep both but dmen goals=2 and offensive dmen are very difficult to get. Especially those who get extra 0.5pts for ppp's.

Any help would be appreciated. Keep 8. Goalies not a factor.

i would consider moving a blueliner. Maybe Letang because of his terrible health issue; staying healthy, or maybe Carlson who is liable to lose pp ice time to Niskanen and is going to be called on to be the "defensive" guy in Washington as he has shown he can be. In real life, Carlson is probably the best d-man the Caps have, but it may not translate to fantasy points for you. Both of these guys may also have enough value to trade to a D hungry GM and land you an even better player.

of course that will just lead you back to your original question...

I'll go against the grain here and say Stepan - the reason being I think he is more of a lock for PP1. I really don't know who is going to be on the first unit in Pitts - Crosby and Malkin are certain, but then you have Kunitz, Horny, Letang and Ehrhoff battling for the last three spots. If they decide to go with two D-men then I worry Horny is the odd man out.

If I were certain Horny gets PP1 time then I would pick him but since I don't know that I would roll with Stepan.

Higher risk/reward with Hornqvist. Safer floor with Stepan. Depends where your team stands. Do you think you will need superstar numbers to really have a shot at winning? Or do you think your team is good enough and you need someone safe to post 60-65 points? That's what I would base my decision on.

Go with risk reward, I would also look at keeping Stepan and dropping Carlson ( Have a better chance of redrafting him) - as stated their is a lot of D competition in Washington.

I would go with the safe points in Stepan - or keep both over a defenceman.

If you were keeping both - my heart says drop Letang, my head says drop Carlson.
