    Question WILDCARD: Valeri nuchushkin?

    Hey guys,

Just curious on this guy. I get that he's got the big frame with pretty awesome skating stride and scoring upside. I've watched some videos and he is pretty damn awesome.

But what is his upside? Can I get some projections on this guy? This coming season? 3 year average? Ceiling?

There's just so much hype on him...I'm thinking of going all in and getting all three of these guys (Seguin, benn, Nushushkin) since I already have the other established two. #Bennguin!

And as always, thanks for clarifying guys

I would suggest the Dobber Fantasy Hockey Guide (in case you were not aware of it). It answers every question you just asked (for every player) and it's the same price as every crappy magazine you find on the shelf. Plus, it gets updated regularly. You really cannot go wrong with it.
    Points only pool - H2H - Dress 11/week - 2 at every forward position(RW, LW, C), 4 D, 1G
Goalie Points = 2/win, 1/overtime loss, 3 more/shutout (They typically make up most of the top 10 point getters every year in our league)

24 teams but 2 of every player (2 Crosbys, 2 Rasks, etc.) so treat it like a 12 team.

PROTECT 11 (max. roster size is 25)

LW - Benn, Pacioretty, Henrique, Abdelkader, Pulkkinen
    C - Tavares, Backstrom, Johansen
RW - Giroux, Wheeler, Donskoi, Pomminville, Silvferberg
D - Josi, Karlsson, Burns, Seabrook, Reilly, Gardiner,
    G - Jones, Rinne, Miller

Hard to say as far as numbers goes. I can see him around 50pts this year and I think he can become a 70pt type of player. There has been plenty of threads on Nichushkin lately. Just type is his name up in the search bar top right.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

Here's my prediction from another thread. Again as posted earlier there are tons of posts and dobbers guide out there which is useful.
I feel he will approach the 1st set of numbers and in a perfect season get close to his upside (2nd numbers)
    Nich 33-37-67 Upside 37-39-76
Again I think he'll top out closer to the 67 points but has potential to hit 70's if it all comes together and plays with seguin and Benn.
I don't see him being in that 90 point area but more of a 65-70 point guy in today's NHL with close to a 50-50 ratio in goals and assists.

Considering some thought he could be the best player from a draft that had Mackinnon, Drouin and Barkov, I think his upside is much higher than 70. With his line mates he has the potential to be a stud. I put his ceiling around 85 pts. Ceiling though not what I think will for sure happen.

Not too add to the hype train, but he stayed in dallas all summer training and put on 10-15 pounds of muscle....
Too add to the hype machine Jagr is quoted as saying “I saw, like, three (of his) games,” Jagr said. “He was a great player. Maybe it was his best three games I watched, but I said this guy is going to be the best in the world one day.”

I just traded for him, so take what I say with a grain of salt as I am pretty invested in his success....
